This amazing print or digital group-work rubric is used to provide structured feedback to students working on a group activity. It is useful for inquiry-based or “workshop” style lessons, where students have a period of time to work in small groups, followed by a share-out or discussion period. This is a wonderful addition to any group work activity.
The rubric is divided into three sections: process (how well students work as a team), product (the artifact created), and presentation (the sharing of their work with the class). Each section has 4-5 indicators, and groups can be rated as “Great,” “Good,” or “Not Yet.” It matches well with our free Workshop Lesson Plan Template.
According to some definitions, this is not “technically” a rubric as it does not provide examples for each level of proficiency. However, we felt that it was not necessary to create length descriptions for each level of “You listened to each other.” Instead, we prioritized ease of use and student-friendly language in constructing this resource.
This product will:
✰ Help students take ownership of learning
✰ Create opportunities for collaboration, discussion, and reflection
✰ Comprehensive and driven by proven results
